Leave Covid: new INPS instructions
The INPS, with the message 21 January 2022, n. 327, provides guidance on the procedure for the submission of applications for self-employed parents and for those registered exclusively in the Separate Management, for the use of the "SARS cov-2 parental leave", extended to 31 March 2022, in the case of children with SARS cov-2, in contact quarantine or with educational or educational activities in the presence of suspended or with closed day care centres.
The "SARS cov-2 parental leave" may be used by parents, including foster parents or placeholders, employees, by workers registered exclusively for the Separate Management or by self-employed workers registered with the INPS, for the care of cohabiting children under the age of 14 with SARS cov-2, in quarantine from contact or with educational or educational activities in presence suspended.
In addition, such leave may be used, regardless of age and cohabitation, for the care of children with disabilities in a situation of proven seriousness, enrolled in schools of all kinds and grades or housed in day care centres of a social nature, affected by SARS cov-2, in contact quarantine, with educational or educational activity in the presence of suspended, or with closure of the day care center.
For periods of abstention received, an allowance equal to 50% of the salary or income is granted depending on the occupational category of the parent applying for leave and the periods are covered by imputed contributions.
For female and self-employed workers and for those registered exclusively in the Separate Management, the application for "SARS cov-2 parental leave" must be submitted exclusively electronically, through one of the different channels.
